Performance, Conversation, Tour
What's Cooking in the Bronx?
Starting off the food weekend is La Cocina - a project by Puerto Rican artist Sofia Maldonado. Starting with a kitchen mural and culminating in a live cooking experience, Maldonado is eager to gather people around food and stimulate the conversation about Latin-cuisine and other traditional and cultural dishes. Jessica Young will also be there sharing her secret and techniques for Empanadas. Sofia welcomes participants in this project to create a variety of cultural dishes made with love, similar to family cooking.
Cooking workshop starts at 11 am.
