Discussion: How Can We Unite to Preserve Our Communities?

900 Grand Concourse & 1125 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY

Thursday, December 10 2015
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

In New York City, the conversation around gentrification is often focused on what we don't want, and how to survive it. This panel discussion aims to create a dialogue that is focused on what we do want, and how to get it. What organizations can we look to for support? How do we support our neighbors? What strategies are being used by NYC organizations to combat gentrification? How can we apply these to our own communities? This panel is designed as an opportunity to exchange information and discuss action. Light refreshments will be served.

The evening will unfold in two parts:

6pm: Curatorial walk-through of the exhibition Intersecting Imaginaries
900 Grand Concourse (at 161 Street)

7:15pm: Panel discussion
