12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Artists Heather Hart and Jina Valentine from Black Lunch Table (BLT), Sara Clugage from Art+Feminism and members of Wikimedia will host a "Truth-a-Thon" as part of theTruth Be Told program series. Workshop leaders will lead a training and will be available throughout the event to guide participants on the editing process for articles of their choosing. Come learn about the work of these collectives and how to transform public discourse in real time!  Bring your laptop and a friend.

To attend, you must RSVP.

Black Lunch Table mobilizes a democratic (re)writing of contemporary history by animating discourse around and among the people living it. As the past few years have seen the most public dialogue around issues of race in recent history, BLT has provided a critical platform for exchange, currently staging nomadic Wikipedia edit-a-thons and community roundtable discussions worldwide.

Art+Feminism is a campaign improving coverage of cis and transgender women, feminism and the arts on Wikipedia. From coffee shops and community centers to the largest museums and universities in the world, Art+Feminism is a do-it-yourself and do-it-with-others campaign teaching people of all gender identities and expressions to edit Wikipedia.
