Russian Revolution: A Contested Legacy
Tour with Curator Masha Chlenova, PhD
International Print Center NY 508 West 26th Street, Room 5A

The night begins with an exclusive tour of Chlenova’s gem of a show featuring historical printed works by key Russian avant-garde artists of the 1920s and 1930s, including such well-known names as Gustav Klucis, El Lissitzky, and Elizaveta Ignatovich, in dialogue with contemporary works by Russian-born, New York-based artists Yevgeniy Fiks and Anton Ginzburg. This exhibition reveals often-obscured goals of the Revolution and addresses their continued urgency today – in Russia, the United States, and elsewhere.

Carlos Quintana: New Works
Reception + Vodka-inspired cocktails
Magnan Metz Gallery 521 West 26th Street

Our journey continues with a stroll across the street for to Magnan Metz Gallery. Born in Havana, Cuba in 1966, Carlos Quintana’s paintings and sculptures reflect another creative voice that emerged from the crucible of a communist regime.

Refreshments and Vodka-inspired cocktails for all!
