Tara Foster

Tara Foster is an interdisciplinary art maker and administrator, whose work exists at the intersection of place-based community cohesion; healing; and contemporary art. Tara has worked in various capacities with organizations such as Prospect New Orleans, Daily Serving, Neighborhoods Partnership Network, and the Arts Council of New Orleans, and most recently as the Program Associate for Artist Support at the Joan Mitchell Center in New Orleans, LA., an artist residency program of Foundation. She is currently an Assistant Manager with MTA Arts & Design. Tara completed a self-designed, dual degree graduate program at the University of New Orleans, earning a MA in arts administration and MS in urban studies. Her continued scholarship focuses on public space, participatory art, and the urban political economy.
