William Helfrecht received his BA from the Courtauld Institute in London and an MA in Modern Art and Curatorial Studies from Columbia University, where he focused on performance and American art in the 1960s. He is particularly interested in the practice of exhibition making
in alternative spaces, as well as finding ways to increase community-level engagement with the arts. He has worked or held internships at the
Dwan Gallery archives, the Cunningham Dance Foundation and Tate Modern.
