No Longer Empty is delighted to welcome Christine Licata as Executive Director

Building on the achievements of the organization’s history of community-responsive curatorial practice and highly impactful, innovative educational programming, NLE is now poised to expand upon its impact through a re-visioning and growth of the organization and its programmatic reach.

Christine Licata joins the NLE team with a wealth of experience in strategic leadership in arts and education initiatives.  Both at Casita Maria Center for Arts & Education and The Bronx Museum of Arts, she built departments and programs that powerfully linked art with social justice and equitable cultural advancement. Her work has consistently been artist-led and created around diverse and intergenerational local engagement.  “A staunch artist advocate and community builder, Christine is well placed to lead the organization in this new phase of development and growth,” says Manon Slome, NLE Co-Founder and Chief Curator.

“I’m excited for this opportunity to lead NLE towards continued and future success in creating powerful platforms for diverse artists and community voices,” says Christine, “and confident that we will become an even more formidable local and global catalyst for socio-political growth through the arts.”
